Gervais Centre

Among Opatija’s beautiful historic buildings, you will also find modern architectural achievements such as the Gervais Center. Originally a hall for musical events built onto Hotel Stephanie (later Imperial), it later became a city cinema. In 2012, the old building was demolished and replaced with the Gervais Center, named after Drago Gervais, a Chakavian poet and one of the region’s most important cultural figures. You will experience all the charms of Opatija’s nightlife here, in its most luxurious disco hall. If you prefer a quieter evening, you can enjoy a film or a play, or perhaps attend one of the many congresses hosted here.
