Učka Nature Park

Above the sea, in the hinterland of Opatija, rises a special mountain. The meeting of sea and mountain air has created a unique climate and lush vegetation with many protected plant and animal species. Discover Učka, a favorite place for escaping the city and reconnecting with untouched nature. Here you can hike along well-maintained trails through chestnut and oak forests, enjoy waterfalls, or even take off on a paragliding flight over the scenic landscape. If you reach its highest peak, Vojak (1,401 meters), you will find a tower of the same name—the symbol of Učka—offering breathtaking views of Rijeka, the Kvarner islands, and all of Istria.
